Bible study benefits whom?
Diligent Bible study of the KJV Bible benefits you for sure, plus others. The more you know, the easier it is to spot His truths and to spot something that isn't true; you become able to verify; yea or nay. You also increase your own faith and diminish any doubts you may have had. Bible study is something every Christian should do daily. God gave us His Word to help us with the problems we face in our daily life. God also lets us know what tomorrow will bring by reading the prophets. Studying the Bible has changed my life for the better. It has brought me closer to God our Father and has given me a better understanding of what God wants for my life. It can do the same for you. You will be truly amazed at what is actually in the Bible. When one learns truth from God's word, they can share those truths with others; what a concept. No one can share what they don't know. Get busy studying. Only those who have been diligent students of the Scriptures and who have received the love of the truth will be shielded from the powerful delusion and doubt that takes the world captive. Studying the Bible ourselves makes it possible for us to detect the deceiver in his disguise. Who deceives the whole world? Read Revelation 12:9 for the answer. Question: 1. Is it being wise to let someone else read, study and tell you what is in the Bible? Answer: 1. By choosing to study on your own, you leave out the middleman and greatly decrease the possibility of being deceived by someone that is biblically illiterate. Question: 2. On judgment day, will that middleman be by your side? Answer: 2. No, each of us stand judgment alone. Question: 3. Who is responsible for you? Answer: 3. You are responsible for you! Most don't feel the need to study on their own; the reason doesn't matter. The effect is the same, biblical illiteracy. That makes them ripe for deception. It also sets them up to share something that isn’t true causing people to move away from God instead of towards Him. Audio Bibles are available in many places today. What an awesome gift for those who might need one. Some are free on-line. Pray to God for more wisdom, understanding, comprehension, insight and love of His word. [James 1:5-6] Obey Him, read 2 Timothy 2:15 and 3:16-17, be a diligent student of the scriptures and study on your own. Help yourself and others; don't be selfish. Remember, the less you study, the more you don’t know. That definitely increases the chance to make mistakes according to the standards of God; it also increases your chances of being deceived. Do you really want to be in that boat? I certainly hope not; get busy studying.
