Famine?

A recent headline written by a person claiming to be a prophet reads on a so-called Christian news site: “Famine in America” in 2023. Sadly, it appears the person that wrote this doesn’t actually study their Bible. For that reason, this is a subject that needs to be repeated and seen by many today in 2024 and beyond. Try studying God’s word and find out the truth about the “famine” in these end times. Do you believe God or some man that says something contrary to the word of God? Your choice; choose wisely.

Amos 8:11 (KJV) Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:
Amos 8:12 (KJV) And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it.

Have you witnessed any signs of this famine? Do you hear all 31,102 verses of God's Word where you go on Sundays? More than likely not, thus, the famine. You'll not likely hear enough to feed your spirit; it will starve. How can you know the word of God yourself if you trust others to spoon feed it to you a couple of verses at a time? You'll only be fed what they want you to know; just like news outlets of today. Think about that! Are you satisfied with that? If not, study the Bible yourself, completely, and don't allow yourself to be in the group that knows so little about God's word. Psalm 63:1, 119:131; Ezekiel 36:29-30 [when you study all of God's Word, there is no famine, Daniel 12:4; see 2 Timothy 2:15]. Seek Him: Jeremiah 29:13; Amos 5:4; Matthew 7:7; Luke 11:9. What happens to those who don't seek Him? The opposite, they don't find Him.

Jeremiah 23:1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD. [It is very easy to understand this verse; look out false teachers! All verses come from the KJV Bible].
Jeremiah 23:2 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD. [False teachers drive people away from God. Those false teachers get what they deserve according to their own doings].
Jeremiah 23:21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. [God did not send many of those that call themselves prophets, preachers, teachers, men of God, etc. then or now. Jeremiah chapter 23 and Ezekiel chapter 13 are so important. Both of these chapters demonstrate God's feelings towards those that mislead others through false teachings; it couldn't be more clear]!
Matthew 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. (Jesus warns us also to be aware of those that claim to come in His name. They are not sent by Him)!
Want to know how to avoid being deceived by those so-called prophets? Learn how to study the Bible more thoroughly. Completely, cover to cover, is the way it should be studied. But, that usually is not the case; a verse here and there is how most study it. Do you read a novel like you study the Bible, a sentence here and there? No, you read the novel cover to cover, every last paragraph and sentence. Why do you choose to study the Bible only partially? How many of the 31,102 verses of the KJV Bible are you actually familiar with? Also, what can you do for God if you are ignorant of His Word? You are of no use to Him, or yourself. Exposing yourself to only a few verses each week makes you one who is easily deceived! Why would someone want you to be easily deceived? Think about it. There is only one answer. By the twisting of scripture and your ignorance, Satan the Antichrist and his followers will deceive you, it will be a piece of cake for them. You read a novel for entertainment; you study the bible to help you achieve eternal life, plain and simple. Which one is more important to you? Your eternal soul is at stake. Take personal responsibility for knowing what is actually in the Bible. It is not up to someone else to give you what you need to know. Don't be easily deceived. The famine in the land will be for what? Amos 8:11 tells you. See John 6:35.

Nourish [feed] your soul, your spirit with His Word. Seek Him while you can. Isaiah 55:2-3, 6; John 6:35; Just as our bodies need a balanced diet, our souls require a steady diet of truth. Our spirits cannot survive without the Word of God. That is the main reason for studying.

At God's return, will you be able to report to Him, I have done as thou have commanded? Might be something to think about! See Deuteronomy 26:13-14; 1 Kings 9:4.
