To everyone who might hear my plea, my name is Maddox, and I am from Lebanon. I am 30 years old and have been caring for my mother and four family members since my father's death ten years ago. We were already struggling to make ends meet, and now, with the outbreak of war, we are facing a catastrophe. The war has destroyed Beirut, the only city that provided us with opportunities to survive. Our home is gone, our income is gone, and we have nothing left. We are trying to survive without food, without shelter, and without hope. Throughout my life, I have faced discrimination because I am not a Muslim. I belong to a spiritual minority, similar to Buddhism, and because of this, I have faced hatred and persecution at every turn. In every job I worked, I was treated badly simply because of my beliefs. Even Islamic media, such as Al Jazeera, have spread messages that incited violence against us, making life even more dangerous. Now, with the war tearing apart our country, my family is left with nothing. I am desperate to provide them with basic necessities, but I can't do it alone.
