Every time I found a job, I was treated badly, marginalized, and discriminated against simply because of my beliefs. Many Muslims I encountered at work treated me with disdain, which made my life even harder. I even faced hostility from media outlets like Al Jazeera, which have broadcasted hateful messages, encouraging violence against people like me—these videos are available online and are painful proof of the discrimination we endure. Even before the war broke out, finding a job where I would be treated with dignity was nearly impossible. We struggled with poverty and uncertainty every single day. And now, as war rages on between Lebanon and Israel, our only hope, the city of Beirut, has been destroyed. Beirut was the one place where I could find work and provide for my family, and now it lies in ruins. We have lost our home, our livelihood, and our sense of security. I am reaching out to you in this desperate time, asking for your help. My family and I are in dire need of support for basic necessities—food, rent, and the essentials that help us survive. The situation is getting worse each day, and I fear for my family's safety and well-being. Please, if you can, offer us any assistance.
