K2 Base Camp is the starting point for climbers attempting to summit K2, the second-highest mountain in the world. Located at an altitude of approximately 5,150 meters, it is one of the most remote and isolated base camps in the world. Reaching K2 Base Camp is a major achievement for trekkers, as it involves navigating through some of the most rugged and challenging terrains in the Karakoram Range. The journey to the base camp takes trekkers through the stunning Baltoro Glacier, offering close-up views of several 8,000-meter peaks. K2 Base Camp Trek The K2 Base Camp Trek is a bucket-list adventure for serious trekkers and mountaineers. The trek typically starts from Askole, a remote village in the Gilgit-Baltistan region, and follows the Baltoro Glacier, one of the largest glaciers outside the polar regions.
