Kuari pass trek | |
The Kuari Pass trek is a magnificent adventure through the Garhwal Himalayas, offering breathtaking views of some of India's most prominent peaks. Starting from the village of Dhak near Joshimath, the trek takes you through dense oak and rhododendron forests, lush meadows (Bugyals), and quaint Himalayan villages. As you climb to an altitude of 3,815 meters (12,516 feet), you’ll be rewarded with panoramic vistas of peaks like Nanda Devi, Trishul, Dronagiri, and Chaukhamba. Known as the "Lord Curzon Trail," the Kuari Pass trek is perfect for both novice and experienced trekkers due to its moderate difficulty level and well-defined path. Spanning approximately 5 to 6 days, this trek is best undertaken from April to June and September to November, although it's also popular in winter for its snowy landscapes. This trek combines adventure with cultural immersion, making it a truly unforgettable Himalayan experience. | |
